Cape Candles has been hand-pouring candles with love since 1987. What began as a small family passion has grown into a trusted name, lighting up homes, restaurants, weddings, and celebrations for over 30 years.
At Cape Candles, we craft our candles using carefully designed blends of premium local and imported fully refined paraffin waxes, pure soy wax and natural beeswax. Each blend is chosen to create the perfect burn, fragrance throw, and finish. We use only 100% pure cotton wicks – never lead cores – and our fragrances and essential oils are sourced from trusted suppliers to ensure the highest quality and consistency.
We work with a wide range of customers, from restaurants and hotels who rely on our rental container candle program, to specialist shops and boutiques who use our contract candle filling service. Beyond containers, we craft bespoke pillar candles in custom colours and finishes which are ideal for everything from intimate dinners to large celebrations and special events. Restaurants and hotels can use our rental container candle program to keep their spaces glowing and to create a warm social atmosphere.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of containers do you supply?
We currently supply plain or frosted straight-sided 235ml whiskey glasses and 100ml votive glasses. These are durable, versatile, and ideal for both hospitality and personal use.
Can you fill my own containers?
Yes! We’re happy to fill branded client containers and even use client-supplied fragrances if required. You’re welcome to provide your containers before or after branding.
Do you offer branding or packaging?
No, we don’t provide branding or packaging. These are supplied by the client.
What waxes do you use?
All our candles are hand-poured using fully refined paraffin wax, soy wax or special blended waxes (eco-friendly options available). We also manufacture a wide range of plain white, unfragranced pillar candles in different sizes.
What fragrances are available?
We stock a select range of quality fragrances. Please request our current fragrance list. If you’re looking for something specific, we can also source fragrances by request.
Do you offer a refill service for restaurants and hotels?
We provide a convenient fill-and-return service where we deliver freshly filled candles directly to your premises and collect burnt-out containers for refilling, returning them the following week or as required based on your needs. We only replace the candles you’ve actually used, unless you specifically request additional stock.
What about damaged or missing containers?
Any damaged or missing containers are charged for at the time of delivery.
How does delivery work?
Please enquire about our delivery schedule and let us know your location, and note that deliveries to third parties must be arranged and confirmed in advance. All deliveries are cash on delivery or prepaid via electronic funds transfer.
